Delta Airlines 767-232, N102DA Spirit of Delta was the first 767-200 operated by Delta and will be the last to be retired. It made a last tour of the United States before its retirement to a Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. In preparation for its retirement, it was painted in the livery it wore in 1982. It arrived at Los Angeles International Airport for the last time on February 27 in a major rain storm.
I started driving back to Imperial Hill before I noticed that the next American Airlines flight was the retro Boeing 737-823, N951AA Astrojet flight AAL705 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles International Airport on February 28, 2006. It carries construction number 29538. It was delivered to American on December 12, 2000. I grabbed the camera and pointed it out the window. I got Astrojet framed nicely, just as it went behind the trees.

It was delivered to Lufthansa on December 22, 1989. Its nose is painted as a soccer ball to commemorate the Germany World Cup in 2006.

Southwest Airlines in May 1987. Southwest operates two other
Shamu 737s.

Harbor International Airport in November 1994. It was originally
ordered by Eastern Airlines as N527EA, but it was not taken up.
It was delivered to America West in December 1987. It was bought
by State Farm Insurance Company and is leased to America West.

N902AW Teamwork on approach to Phoenix Sky Harbor
International Airport in March 1995. It was originally ordered by
Indian Airlines as VT-EJB, but it was not taken up. It was
delivered to Republic Airlines as N602RC in December 1985.
Republic became part of Northwest Airlines in October 1986.
Northwest sold it to Boeing in May 1987, and Boeing leased it to
America West.
Finnair MD-11,
OH-LGC Moomins Express at the Helsinki
International Airport in August 1996. Moomins are small trolls
that live in the forests of Finland.
